Billy Ray Cyrus Announces New Album Despite Family Concerns

by Barbara

Billy Ray Cyrus is pushing forward with his musical career, announcing plans for a new album set for release in 2025, even as his family expresses concerns for his well-being. The platinum-selling country artist is teaming up with his son, Braison Cyrus, who will serve as executive producer on the project and has co-written several tracks. The album, which is currently untitled, is expected to drop in the summer of 2025.

Braison, 30, a musician and producer, shared how the album creation process helped deepen his bond with his father. “I’ve spent this past year getting to know my dad better than I ever have,” Braison told. “It’s an opportunity to tell my dad’s story through music, and I’m fortunate to be able to take it.”

Billy Ray expressed pride in working alongside Braison, praising his son’s talent as a producer. “This is art imitating life, imitating art. Braison is very talented, and 2025 is his year. I’m glad to be a part of it,” he said. “This record is gonna be special. I’m gearing up for what will be the journey of a lifetime.”

Despite the excitement surrounding the album, there is growing concern for the 63-year-old artist’s health and well-being. Following a troubled performance at the Liberty Ball during President Donald Trump’s inauguration, many close to Billy Ray have voiced their worries. In a statement defending his performance, Billy Ray said, “I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock and roll!” However, his ex-wife Firerose and son Trace Cyrus have publicly expressed concern, with Trace pleading for his father to seek help.

Trace posted a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “You’re not healthy, Dad, and everyone is noticing it.” He went on to describe how his father had pushed his family away and expressed deep worry for his well-being.

While fans are eager for new music from the country star, the priority for many, including his family, is his health. With his new album set for 2025, the hope remains that Billy Ray Cyrus can find the support he needs to get back on track.
