Nicki Minaj has apologized to her fans following the cancellation of her Manchester concert after being detained in Amsterdam on Saturday.

The rapper was scheduled to perform her Pink Friday 2 live show at the Co-Op Live arena as part of her ongoing UK and European tour. However, she was unable to make it to the gig due to the arrest in the Netherlands.

Minaj live-streamed her arrest as Dutch police detained her for allegedly carrying drugs.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the rapper apologized to fans, revealing that she had made it to Manchester but too late to perform.

“Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you,” the “Anaconda” rapper wrote. “May you be blessed beyond your imagination.”

She explained that she was at her Manchester hotel and had been detained for “5-6 hours,” accusing Dutch authorities of deliberately delaying her to prevent the concert.

“After sitting in a jail cell for 5-6 hours, my plane still didn’t take off for another 20 minutes once I boarded,” she said. “The flight was 50 minutes. That’s why they had to do the big song and dance because they knew I’d still find a way to perform even if it came down to my last 90 minutes in the building, which would have been until 11:30 pm. The building was willing to go past 11 pm. So grateful to them for that.”

Nicki then apologized to her fans for the cancellation, writing: “Please, please, please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today, but this too shall pass.”

The star added that another Manchester date and a Birmingham gig will go ahead now that she is safely in the UK. The rescheduled Manchester concert will either take place in June or July, according to Minaj.
