This month has been big for masked rock bands. Sleep Token has scored its first No. 1 album with Even in Arcadia. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s single “Luther (feat. SZA)” holds the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 for the 13th straight week. Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” is still waiting for its chance to take over. As Morgan Wallen’s new album I’m the Problem nears release, it’s time to review the new songs he has placed on the Hot 100.

Two weeks ago, the masked Swedish hard-rock band Ghost reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the first time with Skeletá. That album was soon replaced at the top by Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Now, another masked hard-rock band has matched Ghost’s achievement. Sleep Token, an anonymous English prog-rock band known for mixing genres and rich storytelling, has landed its first No. 1 album with Even in Arcadia.
Sleep Token’s rise is impressive. Their previous album, Take Me Back to Eden (2023), peaked at No. 16. While Ghost’s Skeletá dropped quickly after its debut, falling from No. 58 to No. 154 in its third week, Even in Arcadia is expected to stay high on the charts for some time. It was the week’s best-selling and most-streamed album. Strong streaming numbers usually help albums maintain chart success.
According to Billboard, Even in Arcadia set the largest streaming week ever for a hard-rock album. All 10 songs from the album are on the Billboard Hot 100—a sign of major streaming success. Although it likely won’t stay at No. 1 for long, it won’t disappear from the charts soon either.
Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS fell from No. 1 to No. 10 this week after a strong vinyl sales boost last week. Even without that surge, Bad Bunny rarely strays far from the top.
Joining Bad Bunny in the top 10 are two other Latin music stars. Kali Uchis debuts at No. 2 with Sincerely, matching her highest-ever chart position. Meanwhile, Fuerza Regida slips from No. 2 to No. 6 with 111XPANTIA.
Another album returning to the top 10 is The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow, moving up from No. 27 to No. 9 thanks to new vinyl and CD releases. This boost did not help the box-office of the film Hurry Up Tomorrow, starring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, which earned only $3.3 million in its opening weekend. Still, the album’s return to the top 10 is notable.
Top Songs
Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” seems likely to take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 soon. But Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther (feat. SZA)” is holding on strong for its 13th week at No. 1. Such long runs at the top are rare; only 15 songs since 1958 have stayed that long.
Long No. 1 streaks have become more common since streaming grew. For example, last year Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” stayed No. 1 for 19 weeks and remains in the top five after 45 weeks.
The top 10 mostly features songs that have been on the charts for many weeks. Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” is at No. 7 after hitting No. 1 back in March 2024. It has now spent 91 weeks on the Hot 100, tying the record for the longest chart run alongside Glass Animals’ 2020 hit “Heat Waves.” Next week, “Lose Control” will hold the record alone.
Worth Noting: Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem
For more than a year, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem has been expected to be one of 2025’s biggest albums. Unless Taylor Swift surprises, it will likely be the biggest by year’s end. Wallen is on a hot streak, and his album’s release last Friday has set records.
Before I’m the Problem, the record for most top 10 singles released before an album dropped was four, held by Taylor Swift (2012’s Red) and Post Malone (2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding). Both had no misses. Wallen broke that record by debuting “Just in Case” at No. 4 in early April. He broke it again when “I Ain’t Coming Back” (a duet with Post Malone) debuted at No. 8.
As this is the last chart week before the album’s official release, it’s a good time to review his standing.
All three of Wallen’s previous albums are still strong on the Billboard 200. One Thing at a Time (2023) has been charting for over two years and is now No. 4. Dangerous: The Double Album (2021) has charted for more than four years, slipping slightly from No. 9 to No. 11. His debut, If I Know Me (2018), has spent 345 weeks on the chart, moving from No. 61 to No. 56. Simply put, I’m the Problem is likely to stay on the Billboard 200 for a very long time.
Wallen released eight songs from I’m the Problem before the album dropped. Seven of these songs remain on the Hot 100. The title track climbed from No. 10 to No. 6. Other songs like “Just in Case” (No. 11), “Superman” (new at No. 16), “Love Somebody” (No. 18), “I Ain’t Coming Back (feat. Post Malone)” (No. 25), “I’m a Little Crazy” (No. 52), and “Smile” (No. 68) are also charting. (“Lies Lies Lies” peaked at No. 7 last July but has since fallen off.)
Having six top 10 singles before the album release is a new record. Wallen also has eight top 20 singles before the album’s release, including “Superman” and “I’m a Little Crazy.”
Additionally, Wallen’s duet with Post Malone from the latter’s F-1 Trillion album, “I Had Some Help,” is still at No. 13 this week. That song topped Billboard’s 2024 Songs of the Summer chart.
According to Billboard, I’m the Problem has already broken streaming records for a country album. It’s clear that this album is set for major success. Buckle up.
