Country Singer Austin Tanner Faces Arrest for CMA Awards Violation

by Barbara

Aspiring country music singer Austin Tanner is facing legal trouble after allegedly violating the conditions of his court bond by attending the 2024 Country Music Awards in Nashville. Tanner, who hails from Alabama, was not permitted to leave the state without prior approval but walked the red carpet at the prestigious event on Nov. 20.

The incident led to a warrant for his arrest being issued six days later, as Tanner’s bond explicitly prohibited him from traveling outside of Alabama. The singer, who shared his excitement about the night on social media, posted pictures of himself and his wife at the CMA Awards with the caption, “First CMA Awards… Last night was nothing short of magical as we walked the red carpet. This moment marked a dream come true!”

Tanner’s attorney, Frederick Helmsing, confirmed that the singer’s upcoming court hearing had been delayed due to “the complexity of the case, issues over matters of law, and ongoing investigations”. Tanner’s next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 4, when Judge Rossi will review the motion.
