As the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo takes over Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget is once again the place to be for country and Americana music fans. For over 35 years, the iconic Fremont Street venue has hosted a stellar lineup of live performances, and this year’s shows are set to continue the tradition of bringing top-tier talent to the NFR crowd.

On Friday, December 5, Confederate Railroad will hit the stage, bringing their Southern rock-infused country hits to the Golden Nugget. Fronted by David Allan Coe, the band from Marietta, Georgia, is known for their crowd-pleasing anthems like “Trashy Women,” “Jesus and Mama,” and “Queen of Memphis.” Fans can expect a high-energy show packed with their signature mix of country and rock.

The following night, on December 6, Mark Chesnutt will deliver a special performance, marking his return to the stage after undergoing quadruple bypass surgery earlier this year. Known for his deep, traditional country voice, Chesnutt will be back performing hits like “Bubba Shot the Jukebox” and “Blame It on Texas.” Following a successful test show in Texas in October, fans are eager to see the beloved singer-songwriter back in action. Chesnutt, who first rose to prominence in the early ’90s with hits like “Old Flames Have New Names” and “I’ll Think of Something,” has long been admired for his authentic country sound, reminiscent of legends like George Jones.
