Sammy Hagar revealed that he and his Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony reached out to Alex Van Halen to join their upcoming “The Best Of Both Worlds” tour, celebrating Van Halen’s legacy, but received no response.

The tour begins on July 13th in West Palm Beach, FL, at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre. Hagar, in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, shared their unsuccessful attempts to connect with Alex. “Mike and I reached out to Alex before we did anything. We reached out to him a dozen times before this tour, in every way. Email, text message, phone call, message on the machine. No response,” Hagar said. “We made every offer to get together or just talk… Nothing.”

Despite their efforts, Alex Van Halen did not respond, leaving fans disappointed and speculating about his future in music. Last month, Alex auctioned his musical equipment, leading many to believe he has retired from music. Michael Anthony commented, “I was pretty surprised… it appears like he’s selling everything right down to his last drumstick.”
