Finneas Provides Insights into Progress of Billie Eilish’s Anticipated Album

Finneas, the accomplished musician and brother of Billie Eilish, has offered a glimpse into the development of his sister’s upcoming album. Having produced and co-written Eilish’s first two highly successful albums, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” and “Happier Than Ever,” Finneas now reveals that the eagerly awaited third album is “85 per cent done.”

In an interview with Mr Porter, Finneas candidly shared the challenges encountered during the creative process, emphasizing that Billie grappled with uncertainties about the themes they were exploring. “I don’t think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about. Making a thing that you feel really connected to – it can really evade you,” he disclosed.

Acknowledging the impact of his demanding touring schedule on his songwriting skills, Finneas admitted, “And that was scary. It was discouraging to realize that if I take time off, my songwriting muscle atrophies. I had to get back in shape.”

The 26-year-old musician expressed his intention to manage his music-making schedule more effectively in 2024. “I love to create,” he affirmed. “But I don’t love drowning in it. So, I’m trying to have a more regulated relationship with it. I’m producing responsibly.”

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Billie Eilish teased that her upcoming album is “almost done,” although she chose not to disclose a specific release date. “At some point, you will know more,” she stated on the show, “but I’m not going to say anything.”

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish’s track “What Was I Made For?,” featured in the 2023 Barbie movie, has garnered significant recognition with nominations for five Grammys and a Golden Globe, adding to the anticipation surrounding her forthcoming musical endeavors.
