Ministry of Sound Classical is set to thrill audiences in Australia once again, blending iconic dance music with orchestral performances in a unique fusion that has been captivating fans for years. What began as a London club night in 1991 has evolved into a celebrated event where dance floor anthems are reimagined through the sounds of a live orchestra.
The 2025 tour promises to bring a nostalgic mix of 90s and 00s hits, reinterpreted by classical musicians. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable experience, especially those nostalgic for the raves and club nights of past decades. This year, the tour will make stops across major Australian cities, finishing off spring in Brisbane and Melbourne before ushering in summer in Sydney and Perth.
The tour kicks off in Brisbane on Saturday, November 1 at Victoria Park, where Sneaky Sound System will headline the event. The Ministry of Sound Orchestra, led by conductor Vanessa Perica and accompanied by DJ Groove Terminator, will take center stage.
Later, the festival heads to Melbourne, where Cassius will perform on Saturday, November 29 at Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The tour then moves to Sydney on Saturday, December 6 at The Entertainment Quarter, followed by a performance in Perth on Friday, December 12 at Kings Park & Botanic Garden.
Each city will feature a diverse lineup, with international and local artists joining the classical sounds. Judge Jules will appear in Melbourne and Sydney, while Tall Paul and A.Skillz will also join the Sydney and Perth dates. Dirty South is scheduled to perform in Brisbane, and other local talents like John Course, Kid Kenobi, Mell Hall, and Minx will bring their energy to each stop.
Vocal performances will include the talents of Reigan, Karina Chavez, Rudy, Lady Lyric, and Luke Antony. In addition to the music, the festival will offer curated food and beverage options, along with a vibrant atmosphere at each location. Sydney will host three stages, while Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth will include a silent disco.
The music lineup spans over Ministry of Sound’s rich history, with a setlist of dance anthems that have packed dance floors for decades. Attendees can expect orchestral versions of tracks from artists like Basement Jaxx, Darude, Röyksopp, Robin, Underworld, Moby, Fisher, and more.
