Since the early leaks of Whole Lotta Red, Playboi Carti has become known for teasing his fans with new hip-hop music. However, he has not yet mastered the art of actually releasing it.
Currently, Carti is on tour supporting The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour. The tour is nearing its end, following The Weeknd’s recent album release, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Despite his busy schedule, Carti continues to stir excitement by hinting at his next project.
Earlier in 2025, Carti released MUSIC, ending a four-year wait since Whole Lotta Red. Yet, the rapper is already teasing his next album, BABY BOI, on social media.
Carti’s promotional style plays on fan excitement, skepticism, and even some wishful thinking. Recently, as noticed by Twitter user Kurrco, Carti pinned a fan’s comment on his Instagram post, adding fuel to the rumors.
The fan wrote: “twin wat happened to the back-to-back album? drop it if it’s up den it’s up? Wat? U scared?” Interestingly, Carti once sent a similar message to Frank Ocean via Instagram.
This raises questions: Is Carti hinting at a collaboration with Frank Ocean? Or is he teasing the release of BABY BOI? Fans remain doubtful but hopeful. There is more anticipation now than there was for MUSIC at its peak.
Several sources, including DJ Swamp Izzo and Carti’s girlfriend Giovanna “Gio” Ramos, say that BABY BOI is finished. Still, fans should be cautious. The same claims were made before Whole Lotta Red and MUSIC dropped.
In other news, unreleased music from Carti recently sparked more speculation. A snippet featuring Carti, Lil Baby, and Young Thug surfaced online. Since all three artists have new albums expected soon, fans wonder if this collaboration will appear on one of them.
