To mark the 30th anniversary of their iconic album, A Boy Named Goo, the Goo Goo Dolls are releasing a special deluxe edition on March 14. Originally released in 1995, this milestone album propelled the band into the mainstream, earning 2x Platinum certification within a year, largely due to the success of the hit single “Name.”
The deluxe edition will be available in both 2xLP and 2xCD formats. The 2xLP version includes the original album along with a previously unreleased live performance recorded in Las Vegas on March 10, 1996. The 2xCD edition boasts 34 tracks, featuring the live concert as well as four B-sides and six semi-acoustic tracks from the 1996 radio show Modern Rock Live. A limited edition of the 2xLP will also be available, pressed on sea blue vinyl, exclusively through the band’s webstore.
Fans can now stream the Modern Rock Live version of “Name” and pre-order the album ahead of its release.
